THE TEACHING MODEL Of ENGLISH BY USING PICTURE STRIP STORY AS MEDIA ON STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY MASTERY AT THE SEVENTH GRADE OF MTs. Al-IFTITAHIYAH BATU PUTIH SUMENEP

The English teacher in the seventh grade In MTs Al-Iftitahiyah really
realizes about the students’ difficulty in mastering vocabulary. So, the teacher
uses a media to help the students easier to understand the material. One of media
that the teacher uses is picture strip story in teaching vocabulary to help the
students master about vocabulary easily.
From the statement above, the researcher wants to know how does the
teaching model of English vocabularies mastery by using picture strip story as
media done by the teacher at the seventh grade of MTs Al-Iftitahiyah Batu Putih
Sumenep, and what are the students’ respond of the teaching model of English
vocabularies mastery by using picture strip story as media at the seventh grade of
MTs Al-Iftitahiyah Batu Putih Sumenep.
In this case, the researcher used descriptive qualitative. The researcher got
the data from the interview, observation and documentation. The number of
students at theseventh grade of MTs Al-Iftitahiyah Batu Putih Sumenep is twenty
students. The data analysis that the researcher used are data reduction, data
display and Conclusion drawing/ verification. To check thevalidity of data, the
researcher used triangulation of source, triangualation of technique.
The research finding of this research showed when the teacher used picture
strip story, the students are interested in learning well. The teacher While the
students’ response is is positive. It appears when the students stated that this
strategy can help them to be brave in joining the lesson. So, they can be easier to
comprehend the material.
According to the statement above, the researcher concludes that this media
can help the students more active. The researcher suggests that the English teacher
should be more creative in teaching vocabulary. Because the teacher’s role
influences the students’ activeness in the class and also become motivation to be
spirit and always interested in learning
