THE INFLUENCE OF STUDENTS JOINING ENGLISH COURSE OF THE FIFTH SEMESTER IN WRITING SKILL AT TBI STAIN PAMEKASAN

Course of The Fifth Semester in Writing Skill at TBI STAIN

English course is a place for language learners to use
English in a casual setting. English course is also teaching
learning process in certain time. It consist of teaching learning
elements such as number, program, place, and facilities of the
study. The system of the study can be lecturing, discussion,
training, practice, and exercise. In English course the students can
practice many idea to write the story or experience, It not only
focus on grammar but also speaking and writing. Writing is one
way making communication. Writing skill is a method of
representing language in visual or tactile form. Writing system
use sets of symbols to represent the sounds of speech, and may
also have symbols for such things as punctuation and numeral.
This is a quantitative research. Problem of this research
is“Is there any influence of students joining English course of the
fifth semester in writing skill at TBI stain Pamekasan?. How the
statisfical significance the Influence of students joining English
course of the fifth semester in writing skill at TBI stain
Pamekasan?. So, the researcher prossesin this research to analyze
and to describe students joining Englsih course in writing skill.
In this research, the researcher uses a quantitative
approach, The population of this research is students at the fifth
semester at TBI STAIN Pamekasanwhich consist of 172 students.
The researcher take sample in A and B class consist of 75
students. The instrument which were used in conducting the
research are questionnaire and documentation.
The result of this research shows that the correlation
between students joining English course in writing skill at the fifth
semester at TBI STAIN Pamekasan.. It is proved from the result
of correlation coefficient r product moment for n=25 in level of
level standard 5% is 0,3961. Furthermore, for score of rdf=23 got
score 0,3961 is consulted with the table interpretation of
coefficient correlation r product moment in interpretation 0,00 till
0,20 is lowest level.
Based on the result of the research above, there is no
influence between students joining Engish course in writing skill
at the fifth semester in writing skill at TBI STAIN Pamekasan
