Grammar is important aspect in language teaching because it is the
language that makes it possible for us to talk about language. One of
grammatical structures in English is passive voice. Quiz team is one of
techniques in active learning who make students active in the class and
interesting with the topic. In this research, the researcher researches about
the implementation of The Implementation of Team Quiz Technique in
Teaching Grammar at the Eleventh Female Class of Science Class MA
Matsaratul Huda Panempan Pamekasan.
There are three problems of study in this research; the first is how
does the teacher implement team quiz technique in teaching grammar at
11th Female Class of Science MA Matsaratul Huda Panempan Pamekasan,
the second is what are the problems faced by the students in team quiz
technique in teaching grammar, and the third is what is the student’s
response in Implementation of team quiz technique in teaching grammar at
the 11th Female Class of Science Class MA in Matsaratul Huda Panempan
Pamekasan.
This research uses descriptive qualitative. The data mostly is
gathered from the observation, interview, and documentation. The number
of students is twenty five students. The data analysis that is used by
researcher are data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and
verifacation. To check the data validity, the researcher use triangulation of
data sources, and triangulation of technique.
The result of the research will be presented that the teacher
implements quiz team technique divides the students into five groups each
groups are five students based on the numbers of students.The student’s
problems are preparation of students, less comprehension, exploring the
topic, self confidence, and giving opportunity.The student’s responses are
enjoying in implementing of team quiz tehnique, active in the class, more
understand in passive voice, and fluent in sharing idea.
According to the research above, the researcher suggests that the
English teacher should be more active and creative in using technique in
teaching grammar, especially in passive voice. Because it makes the
students active in the class, and enjoying in learning.
