Writing is one skill that student get in English, writing is way to deliver what student think or what will the student say, the student can deliver what they think with writing sentence. The student face some problems or difficulties on writing, the student think that writing is more difficult than other skill, because in writing, the student need to has some equipment such as vocabulary, grammar and other. The student always do some error in the writing sentence, especially on the auxiliary usage.
Based on the problem, there are two problems in this research; the first,. What kind of auxiliary errors that the studentshave in writing II class at the English department of STAIN Pamekasan ?The second,How do the students solve the problem of grammatical errors on auxiliaries usage ?.
The researcher used the describtive qualitative. This subject of this research is teacher and the student of STAIN Pamekasan. In this case, the researcher collect data from theobservation, interview and documentation. The researcher analyze the data, the researcher used data reduction, data display and verification. Beside that, the researcher check the validity of data, the researcher used three triangulation, those are triangulation of technique, source, time and member checking.
During the researcher observe, the researcher found that the student always did some error in the writing sentence, especially on auxiliary usage, the student confuse what the auxiliary that must be used in sentence.
As the result, there were three kind of auxiliary errors that the students have in writing, those are the error grammatical of auxiliary usage put on the present tense auxiliary, the error auxiliary put on past tense auxiliary usage and the error auxiliary put on past tense auxiliary usage put on present perfect tense auxiliary usage. Beside that, to solve the problem, there are three ways to solve the problems. Those are The teacher helps the student confusion in determining the auxiliary usage on what the grammar that must use on the sentence, the student always practice their grammar skill and also the student improve and become master in their grammar skill
