The Effect of Student Working Sheet toward Young Learner’s English Vocabulary Achievement at the Third Class of SDI Al-Mujtama’ Plakpak Pegantenan Pamekasan

Mastering vocabulary very important to young klearner, because vocabulary is basic to make a language as communication tool, in order that to make a good language. Young learners can understand direct human interaction, therefore young lerners always imatate what the people talking about wheather it is wrong or no., Teaching vocabulary to young learner is one of good way to introduce foreign language or new vocabulary to the young learners.Young lerners need Learning sources, specially book to make them easir to understand the vocabulary and also understand the category of the words it’s self, in this case, of course, the book must suitable with young learner’s situation and condition.
There is one problem statements in this research. That is, Do young learners taught English using student working sheet at the third class of SDI Al-Mujtama’ have better English vocabulary achievement than those thaught not using student working sheet?
This research applied quantitative research, in which the data is analyzed by using statistical procedures. This research is experimental research that involves variable X as independent variable (student working sheet) and variable Y as dependent variable (young learner’s English vocabulary achievement). The subject of this research is the students at the third class of SDI Al-Mujtama’ Plakpak Pegantenan Pamekasan. This consists of 62 students. A class is control group in which consists of 31 students who do not get treatment and B class is as experimental group in which consists of 31who get treatment by applying student working sheet in teaching learning process. The instrument of documentation used in collecting data related with variable Y, variable Y which is young learner’s English vocabulary achievement. Test is used to collect the data of variable X which is student working sheet.
The result of this study is there is no effect of Student Working Sheet toward Young Learner’s English Vocabulary Achievement the third class of SDI Al-Mujtama’Plakpak Pegantenan Pamekasan. The students in experimental group who get treatments that are taught vocabulary by using student working sheet do not get good result after it is compared the mean score with mean score from control group. It is also proven by comparing the t value (1, 105) to t table (2, 00) in 5% significant level with degree of freedom is 60 and it is got (t value < t table or 1,105
