The implementation of politeness in speaking skill at MTs Miftahul-Ulum larangan badung palengaan Pamekasan

In learning English, there are four skills. They are listening, reading, speaking, and writing. But speaking is a major skill in English subject. So as an English teacher should choose the best way to make speaking class more interactive and enjoy. Politeness is one of way that the English teacher in MTs Miftahul-Ulum Larangan Badung Palengaan Pamekasan has implemented to teaching speaking subject at seventh.
There are two research focuses in this study. The first, how the teacher implementspoliteness in speaking skill at seventh grade of MTs Miftahul-Ulum Larangan Badung Palengaan Pamekasan. The second,what kind of politeness the teacher implements in speaking skill at seventh grade of MTs Miftahul-Ulum Larangan Badung Palengaan Pamekasan.
In this research, the researcher uses qualitative approach. While kind of research, the researcher uses descriptive research. Because the researcher describes the implementation of Politenessin speaking skill at seventh grade of MTs Larangan Badung Palengaan Pamekasan, and what kind of politeness that implement in speaking skill at seventh grade of MTs Larangan Badung Palengaan pamekasan. To collect the data, the researcher uses observation by entering to the classroom directly, interview with the teacher and the student, and documentation by taking picture in the teaching learning process.
The result of this research found that the implementation of Politeness in Speaking skill at seventh grade of MTs Miftahul-Ulum Larangan Badung Palengaan Pamekasan uses three steps. They are pre-teaching where the teacher gives greeting and warming up, whilst-teaching where the teacher applies Politeness, and post-teaching where the teacher gives conclusion and motivation, closes the lesson. Politeness enhances students’ speaking skill, it is proved when the students give a polite conversation.
Based on the result of research above, Politeness is effective to be implemented in the teaching speaking skill because it can enhance students’ motivation, achievement, and develop students’ speaking skill. The teacher also implemented this game well. Therefore, the teaching learning process of speaking was success.
