The Implementation of “Tongue Twister” Technique in Teaching English Pronunciation at The Second Grade Students of SMPI Al- Hasani Bajur Timur Tlontoraja Pasean Pamekasan

In expressing the language, students needs stimulate to speak up suddenly to pronounce the word and a technique of teaching which used by teacher of English. Especially, in the teaching English learning process. It means that process of Tongue Twister is an important thing in the teaching of English especially in teaching pronunciation.
The writer formulates two problems in this thesis, How the teacher implements Tongue Twister technique in teaching pronunciation at the second grade students of SMPI Al-Hasan Bajur Timur Tlontoraja Pasean Pamekasan?, and How the teacher makes students able to speak accuracy and fluency at The Second Grade Students of SMPI Al- Hasan Bajur Timur Tlontoraja Pasean? .So, this research conducted to describe the process of Tongue Twister technique in the teaching English pronunciation. Based on the phenomena the researcher interested to deeply the process of Tongue Twister technique on student’s pronunciation and the limitation of this study was on the teaching English pronunciation by using Tongue Twister. While the scope was conducted in VIII class of SMPI Al-Hasani Bajur Timur Tlontoraja Pasean Pamekasan. This study describe through of qualitative approach with descriptive research.
In collecting the data the researcher used some techniques are observation, interview and documentation. The interview was done the English teacher and students. In addition, the researcher did observation from 12th January 2015 until 23th February 2015 through of inside the class, while the researcher collected the data documentation as taking a note of teacher, the final of group and lesson plan. Then after the researcher collecting data the researcher analysis base on the Miles and Hubernam’s model they are: data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing verification.
The finding of research that happened in VIII class of SMPI Al-Hasani is astonishing because, the class becomes active and students have motivated. At the end of study was the conclusion and suggestion. The conclusion gives the result that process of Tongue Twister technique in teaching pronunciation was modified by teacher in steps group. Where, the teacher stimulated students before go to the group and this technique can called success.
