The Implementation of Card Sort Technique in English Writing Skill of the Seventh Grade at SMP MA'ARIF NU 2 Blu'uran Karang Penang Sampang

At the present time, education is very important. Every child needs education to make their lives better than before. All teachers have different techniques to apply the material in the class. One of which is card sort technique in order that can help the students to write sentence by looking at the picture on the card.
The reason of the researcher in taking the title of the implementation of card sort technique in English writing skill of the seventh grade at SMP Ma’arif NU 2 Blu’uran Karang Penang Sampang. Was when the researcher went to the school, the researcher saw the students can write or express their idea on the paper. Besides that, there many students there many students say that they like to study English because the teacher using card sort technique.
There are three problems in this research. The first how the teacher teaches writing using card sort technique. The second are the problems faced by the students in writing using card sort technique, the third How the teacher overcome the students' problem.
This study is done to know and explain what media that uses to implementation card sort technique on English writing at the seventh grade in SMP Ma’arif NU 2, how the teacher implemented of card sort technique in English writing skill at the seventh grade in SMP Ma’arif NU 2. And the students’ response in the implementation card sort technique on English writing at the seventh grade in SMP Ma’arif NU 2. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach. To get the data the researcher use interview, observation, documentation.
The result showed that the media that are used in the implementation of card sort technique on English writing skill at the seventh grade in SMP Ma’arif NU 2 are card that had color, picture on the card. The teacher implemented card sort technique in English writing skill in a group and every group had different color of card and every group had picture on the card, every student wrote sentence individually, after that discussed with their group. The aim is that not only one student who can write well, but writing individually it can make the other students to think. The students’ response that card sort technique in English writing skill at the seventh grade in SMP Ma’arif NU 2 is a good technique.
