ABSTRACT

students’ speaking skill at the eleventh grade of madrasah aliyah raudlatul

The most important in learning speaking skill is that the teacher must be able
to choose appropriate technique in deliver the material, in order to the students are
motivated to use and practice on speaking form. Practicing newly can develope
skills and mastering challenging tasks produce positive emotions; feelings, and
effective that are obvious even in infancy.
There are tree problem statements in this study. The first one is how is the
implementation of oral presentation assignment on students’ speaking skill at The
Eleventh Grade of Madrasah Aliyah Raudlatul Mutaallimin Ombul II Bandaran
Tlanakan Pamekasan. The second one is how is the fluency and accuracy in
implementing of oral presentation assignment on students’ speaking skill at The
Eleventh Grade of Madrasah Aliyah Raudlatul Mutaallimin Ombul II Bandaran
Tlanakan Pamekasan. The last is what are the advantages got by the teacher and
students in implementing of oral presentation assignment on students’ speaking
skill at The Eleventh Grade of Madrasah Aliyah Raudlatul Mutaallimin Ombul II
Bandaran Tlanakan Pamekasan.
This study uses qualitative approach as research design and descriptive
research as kind of research, data sources are English teacher and students of
eleven grade, data collection procedure uses observation, interview and
documentation, data analysis use six steps namely prepare and organize the data
for analysis, explore and code the data, coding to build description and themes,
represent and report qualitative findings, interpret the findings and validate the
accuracy of the findings uses triangulation, member checking and external audit.
The result of analyzing showed that the implementing of oral presentation
assignment is instructed how the students can be accustomed to take preparation
and rehearsal, give attention, use personal approach, and manage the time in order
that the delivering of meaning or information can be perfect. And the students’
estimation of eleven grades just focus on how they can speak fluently without be
afraid to make mistake or error and be hesitating to speak either in front of their
friends or other people, so their speaking skill can be promoted. While the
advantages got by the teacher and students in implementing of oral presentation
assignment on students’ speaking skill. Those are: for the teacher make make the
teacher easier in giving understanding on the students about the material, and
make the teacher easier to reach the goal. And for the students are more active and
creative, able to work together in a small group, and more dauntless and
confidents to speak.
