The Effect of Ideogram Media in Warnings Learning to the Students’ Speaking Ability at the Seventh Grade of SMPN 6 Pamekasan.

The researcher wants to use ideogram in warnings learning. Ideogram is one of kinds of pictures, and it is the appropriate media in warnings learning to the students’ speaking ability. The researcher will observe whether it is effective which used to improve students’ speaking ability. In warnings learning, the researcher using ideogram which makes the students will be interested and easier to produce vocabulary based on the picture which is seen by the students.
There are two problems of study in this study. The first was to find out whether the seventh grade students taught warnings learning by ideogram as the instructional media have better achievement on speaking ability than they did not at SMPN 6 Pamekasan. The second was to find out how significance statistically the effect of ideogram as the instructional media to seventh grade students on speaking ability at SMPN 6 Pamekasan. This study is to measure whether the seventh grade students taught warnings learning by ideogram as the instructional media have better on speaking ability at SMPN 6 Pamekasan and to measure the significance statistically the effect of ideogram as the instructional media to seventh grade students on speaking ability at SMPN 6 Pamekasan.
Pre-test is conducted to know students’ ability before given treatment. Form of pre-test here is oral test without pictures. After the pre-test is given to the students, they are given treatment by teacher. Treatment here is done by the teacher using ideogram. The teacher will explain what ideogram is and how to use it. Meanwhile the post-test is conducted after given treatments. Form of post-test here is oral test using ideogram which contain of warnings. The obtained data from the tests was analyzed by using t test formula.
The result of this research showed that the seventh grade students taught warnings learning by ideogram as the instructional media have better achievement on speaking ability at SMPN 6 Pamekasan because the hypothesis which was stated that there is an effect of of ideogram as the instructional media on students speaking ability of seventh grade of SMPN 6 Pamekasan is accepted, which the significance statistically is 95%. It proves that the obtained t is higher than the value of t table ( to : 22,9 > tt : 2,08 ).
