The Effect of Group Resume Technique on The Students’ Ability in Reading Comprehension at Eighth Grade of MTs Bustanul Ulum Sejati Camplong Sampang

Generally, reading activity can make students to be bore in teaching learning process because it do with self activity. So, the teacher must choose a good technique to make students interest in teaching learning process. And the researcher choose group resume technique in order to students can do reading activity in a group that can make the students be easy and enjoy in comprehend the material.
There are two problems of study in this study. The first was to find out whether the students who learn reading comprehension through group resume technique have higher achievement than before they learn through it. The second was to find out how significance effect of group resume technique on students’ reading comprehension achievement at the eighth grade of MTs Bustanul ulum sejati. This study is to know whether the students who learn reading comprehension through group resume technique have higher achievement than before they learn through it and to measure the significance how significant is the effect of group resume technique on student reading comprehension achievement at eighth grade of MTs Bustanul Ulum Sejati.
The population in this study is all the students at the VIII1 grade of MTs Bustanul Ulum Sejati Camplong Sampang. Moreover, the researcher takes all the students of the VIII1 grade of MTs Bustanul Ulum sejati camplong sampang as sample of this research. The number of the student is 21 students. The instruments used in this research are test and documentation. Test used to measure the students’ reading comprehension before and after teratment. Documentation was used to obtain students’ score, pre-test and post-test score, lesson plan, the material, the students’ name list and the photoes during the researcher gave treatment. This research uses quantitative approach in which the research design is pre-experimental or one group pre-test, post-test design. In analyzing the data the researcher used t-test.
The result of this research showed that the Eighth grade students taught group resume technique have better achievement on reading comprehension at MTs Bustanul Ulum sejati camplong sampang because the hypothesis which was stated that the eighth grade students taught reading by using group resume technique have higher achievement on reading comprehension at MTs Bustanul Ulum Sejati, than before they do not learn through it is accepted, which the significance statistically is 95% and 99%. It proves that the obtained t is higher than the value of t table ( to : 6,04 > tt : 2,09) and ( to : 6,04 > tt : 2,84).
