The Influence Of English Additional Lesson Program On Students' English Achievement in Excellent Class Of The Eleventh Grade At SMAN 2 PAMEKASAN

English is a foreign language which is studied in school institution and it is determined as primary subject to be taught by the teacher to the students. There are many programs that the school provides to the students to make the students are able to be master and get knowledge during their studying in the school. Providing study program to the students is good way to make them better. Herbart theory as stated in Sumardi suryabrata, good result in studying or learning process cause of two factors. They are the clarity of the first transferring knowledge and how often the knowledge transferring is.
There are two problem statements in this study. The first is whether the students who join English additional lesson program get good English achievement on students in the excellent class of the eleventh grade of SMAN 2 Pamekasan. The second is how significant English additional lesson program influence students' English achievement in the excellent class of the eleventh grade of SMAN 2 Pamekasan.
This study applied quantitative research, which the data analyzed by using statistical procedures. This research is correlation research that involves variable X as independent variable (English additional lesson) and variable Y as dependent variable (students' English achievement). The subject of this research is the students in the eleventh grade of SMAN 2 Pamekasan with the number of the students are 66 students. The instrument of documentation which is used in to collect data related to variable Y. variable Y which is students' English achievement. Questionnaire is used to collect the data of variable X which is the English additional lesson program.
The result of this study is there is no influence of English additional lesson program on the students' English achievement in the eleventh grade of SMAN 2 Pamekasan. The students who join English additional lesson program do not get good English achievement. It is proven that the value of r-value is higher than r-table (0.309>0.244) but the result is negative correlation.
Based on the result above, it is suggested to educational server such as head master, school committee and English teacher to improve the service to the students by providing good program study and never forget to evaluate the result.
