Writing is a method of representing language in visual or tactile form. Writing systems use sets of symbols to represent the sounds of speech, and may also have symbols for such things as punctuation and numerals. Writing is the representation of language in a textual medium through the use of a set of signs or symbols (known as a writing system).
There are two problem statements in this study. The first one is whether is there any different in narrative writing skill of excellent and regular students at the eleventh grade of MAN Sampang. The second one is how significant is different in narrative writing skill of excellent and regular students at the eleventh of MAN Sampang.
This study is to find out comparison narrative writing skill of excellent and regular students at the eleventh grade of MAN Sampang, and to know how the different narrative writing skill of excellent and regular students at the eleventh grade of MAN Sampang is quantitative research and the design that use in this study is t-test. There are two variables in this study; they are narrartive writing skill as independent variable, and students’ English writing skill as dependent variable.
From the result of the data analysis that the researcher analyzed, it show that there is not statistically significant at the excellent class and regular class at the eleventh grade of English of MAN Sampang in narrartive writing skill comparison. It is proven by the result of the data analysis and by the comparison the t-value with t-table in level significance 5%. The result shows that t-value is 0.9460216 and t table 2,01 in level 5%. Therefore, t-value is lower than t-table and the alternative hypothesis is rejected.
Based on the result above, it suggested for English teacher to the teacher must be give more attention to the excellent class, because the students more diligent then other class and then the students of excellent class will be get high score. To the teacher of regular class; the teacher does not be different about students of excellent and regular class. The students of excellent class the students don’t make the teacher disappointed from ability, and score of the students. Because, the students of excellent class is from selected of other class and the student taken from high score from other class and good ability in learning process. The students of regular class must be diligent than excellent class. Although the students of regular class don’t superior class, but the students of regular class can be throw the knowledge don’t defeated with the students excellent class.
