Teaching Vocabulary through “Finding New Word Game” at Islamic Elementary School of Tarbiyatul Aulad Pasanggar Pegantenan Pamekasan

Teaching vocabulary is often given little priority in second language program, but recently there has been a renewed interest in the nature of vocabulary and its role in teaching and learning. And explicit instruction involves diagnosing the words leraners that need to be known, presenting the words for the first time, elaborating words knowledge and developing fluency with known words
This research is focused on two problems which are the main discussion of this research,1). How does the English Teacher use finding new word game in teaching vocabulary at Elementary School of Tarbiyatul Aulad Pasanggar Pegantenan Pamekasan?, 2). What’s the students’ obstacle in learning finding new word game at Elementary School Tarbiyatul Aulad Pasanggar Pegantenan Pamekasan?
In this research the researcher take place at Elementary School Tarbiyatul Aulad Pasanggar Pegantenan Pamekasan, the approach of this research is qualitative the data are gotten by observation, interview, and documentation than those data are analyzed with analysis descriptive qualitative.
Then the research finding shows based on the result observation and interview showed that finding new word game used to make the students get progress in vocabulary at Elementary School of Tarbiyatul Aulad Pasanggar Pegantenan Pamekasan because the students can look for the vocabulary in dictionaries so that it can add their list in vocabularies. While the steps of finding new word game implemented at Elementary School of Tarbiyatul Aulad Pasanggar Pegantenan Pamekasan are the first step the english teacher make a group in order to make the students can cooperate. Then the english teacher provide the broad and the letter and the last steps the english teacher evaluates the result of the students’ work
The students’ obstacles in the implementation of finding new word game at Elementary School of Tarbiyatul Aulad Pasanggar Pegantenan Pamekasan is the students get difficulties in looking the word because the students should look at the dictionary one by one per-page and the students cooperation is also become the obstacles because the member of the group have no task so that it makes the group crowded.
