The Implementation of “I am the” model technique in teaching speaking ability at the eight (VII) in MTs. Khoirul Ulum Tambelangan Sampang

Speaking is one of the English skills that have most important because can make student communicate each other. Teacher is someone that affect in teaching learning process and student is the first object in teaching learning process. Learning is a process that happening interaction between teacher and student in the classroom. The teacher used “I am the” model to develop speaking ability. The students can arrange of many vocabulary become of sentence in practice speaking English. They can express their feeling in practice speaking English.
There are three problems in this research, the first how is the implementation of “I am the” model technique in teaching speaking ability at eight (VIII) grade in MTs. Khoirul Ulum Tambelangan?. The second is what are the student responds when The English Teacher implemented it?. The third is what is the effect of the problem is it can not be solved?. In this research, the researcher uses qualitative approach while the kind of used is descriptive qualitative. In collecting the data researcher used three techniques. They are observation, interview, and documentation techniques. They are some steps that researcher applied in collecting the data. They are pre research step, the process of research and arranging the result of research.
The result of this research shows that the implementation of “I am the” model technique in develop speaking English ability. The teacher did three steps in the teaching and learning process at the classroom. They are pre teaching, whilst teaching and post teaching. The teacher divided 38 into 19 groups. Every group consists of 2 murit. Every group must practice in front class. The use of topic be different with other group. The students responds are the students’ more active in teaching and learning process, they are contributing their idea in speaking by using “I am the” model. The students can increase their creativity to have idea that will explain orally, the students can interested to more diligent of study in teaching learning process. And master some vocabulary, know to arrange some of sentence become of conversations, and practice English speaking develop speaking English ability. The effect of the problem is it can not be solved is needed of long time or limited time, and the student always false of student pronunciation. Based on the result of research “I am the” model technique is effective. And get responds students. Because the students can practice speaking English. The English teacher implemented well for the students. The teacher and students can interaction, sharing idea and information.
