Analysis of Activist Students Difficulties in Finishing Thesis on English Teaching Program at IAIN Madura

Finishing the final college assignment is not easy. It takes mind, heart and
physical readiness. And really needs motivation from people around and of course
from yourself. Moreover, being part of activists student who must be wise in
dividing time between organizations and finishing the final project. If it is not
wise to divide the time, it will hinder the completion of the thesis. Not only that,
there are several causes that hinder finishing the thesis which can result in
untimely graduation. Researchers here focus on the factors inhibiting activist
students difficulties in finishing thesis and students perception about activist
students delay in finishing thesis on English Teaching Program at IAIN Madura.
Researchers use a qualitative approach where descriptive is the type of
research. Researchers obtained data from documentation and interviews using the
whatsapp application. The informant of this research is an activist student above
semester VII of the IAIN Madura English tadris study program.
The researcher found that activist students in finishing the thesis of the
English Language Teaching Program at IAIN Madura are divided into two
factors, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal factors is including
laziness, discouragement, underestimating assignments and others. As for external
factors including poor time management, difficulty finding references, difficulty
meeting supervisors, constrained funds or laptops and others. Students give the
perception that activist students who are late in completing their thesis are not
from organizational factors, but from themselves.
After discussing the results and making conclusions, there are some
suggestions for student activists. For lectures and also for subsequent researchers,
as follows for subsequent researchers, the author realizes that this research is not
perfect as a result of writing this scientific paper, so suggestions and scientific
criticism are offered to improve this research. The author advises readers to look
at other terms and actions used by students of English teaching and learning
program activities at IAIN Madura, such as taboo words and illocutionary actions.
