The Suitability of Textbook for The First Year of Senior High School with The Competency-Based Curriculum 2013 in X Grade at Ma Miftahul Qulub

Based on facts in the field, textbooks are important for teachers, especially
for students, many companies produce quality English books so that teachers must
choose good books to be used in the teaching and learning process in the
classroom. There are many ways that can be done in choosing a good book. One
of them is by using the compatibility between the content on topics in the English
book with the curriculum used by the school.
There are two research focuses in this research. Firstly, what are the topics
contained in the English textbook used in the 10th grade of Senior High School at
Ma Miftahul Qulub. And the second, whether the topics contained in the English
textbook used in grade 10 of Senior High School at Ma Miftahul Qulub are in
accordance with the 2013 Curriculum.
In this research, the researcher use qualitative approach of this research
and the type of research is library. The source of the data is a textbook entitled
“Bahasa Inggris”. To collect data, researchers use documentation analysis/content
analysis techniques. The instruments of this research used core competence KI
and basic competence KD in syllabus, and used feasibility of content.
The research results show that the textbook entitled "Bahasa Inggris" is
suitable for the 2013 curriculum. The topics contained in the English textbook
include; Talking About Self, Complimenting And Showing Care, Expressing
Intention, Congratulating Others, and Describing People, adapted to core
competencies KI and basic competencies KD in syllabus. Then, the topics are
customized to the feasibility of content assessment, which is the result suitable
between the content contained in English textbook with the feasibility of content
