Hubungan Perilaku Bullying Verbal dengan Konformitas Teman Sebaya pada Siswa SMP Negeri 1 Tlankan

Verbal bullying is kind of bullying in the form of nicknames, reproaches, slander,
cruel criticism, insults, and nuanced statements of sexual solicitation or sexual harassment.
Verbal bullying is influenced by several factors, namely personality factors, family factors,
school factors, peer factors, and social media factors. This verbal bullying behavior has an
impact on peers. Peer conformity is a behavior or attitude that is followed by an individual
because the individual is trying to adjust to peers in the group, with the reason they wants to
be accepted in the group.
This research is motivated by the phenomenon of verbal bullying behavior with peer
conformity in seventh grade students of Junior High School 1 Tlanakan. The research aims to
determine the relationship between verbal bullying behavior and peer conformity in seventh
grade students of Junior High School 1 Tlanakan.
This type of research is quantitative correlation. The sample in this research amounted
to 58 people who were selected using the stratified random sampling method. The data analysis
technique used is the product moment statistical method. Data collection tools are verbal
bullying behavior scales with peer conformity and interviews. Test the validity and reliability
of the instrument using Cronbach's Alpha formula.
The results showed that there was a significant relationship between verbal bullying
behavior and peer conformity in seventh grade students of Junior High School 1 Tlanakan with
a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.561 which is in the moderate category
