The Student Perception on Arabic and English Language in TMI Putri Al-Amien Prenduan

In communication we certainly need a language. There are so many languages in this
world, in fact almost every region has their own language. Language consists of a collection of
words in which each word has an abstract relationship and meaning with the object represented
by those words. In the use of language, there are rules so that words are easier said and. the
student of TMI Putri Al-AMIEN PRENDUAN have potency and ability to speak English and
Arabic in their daily conversation. At Al-AMIEN PRENDUAN boarding school there are
various kinds of activities given to the students, including language activities. There are various
kinds of language activities there, for example MUHADHOROH, MUHADHOROH activities
here is that every student has the opportunity to make a speech, they are divided into groups of
groups, and each speech the language used is English, Arabic, and Indonesian.
The existence of Arabic and English at TMI Putri Al-AMIEN caused each student's
perception of the two languages to arise. These two languages are important as communication
tools in the boarding school so that students are expected to be able to master both languages
through good learning systematics and sufficient motivation. However, systematic learning and
motivation alone are not enough. Researchers want to know the perceptions and factors that
influence female TMI Putri Al-AMIEN towards English and Arabic so the researchers
conducted this research.
Researchers in conducting this study used a qualitative approach. Sources of data obtained by
researchers in the form of interviews with related parties, observation and documentation, with
English teachers and student informants. while at the same time checking its validity through
triangulation, increasing experience and increasing the determination / persistence of
researchers.
Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the perceptions of the students
of the TMI Al-Amien Prenduan Islamic boarding school are more likely to choose Arabic as
an easy and desirable language. This can be seen from the level of interest and background of
students who are more familiar with Arabic since childhood. Besides that, the teaching staff at
the cottage are accustomed to using Arabic as the everyday language in the cottage
