The Differences Between Using Picture Media And Without Picture Media In Vocabulary Mastery For Seventh Grade At Mts Miftahul Ulum Mandangin Island Sampang

Mastering vocabulary is important for learners since vocabulary
knowledge, as one of the basic components an important role among the four
language skills. It is true that it might be impossible to learn a language without
mastering vocabulary. The students difficulties to understand the lesson about the
vocabulary. In study English, picture helps the students in understanding the
lesson.
This study aims to find out the difference between using picture media and
without using picture media in vocabulary mastery for seventh grade at Mts
Miftahul Ulum Mandangin Island. The researcher applied the pre-experimental
method with one group pre-test and post-test designs, and collected data based on the test.
The sample of the research was the seventh grade students of MTs Miftahul Ulum
consisting of 25 students. the population in this study is all seventh grade students
Miftahul Ulum, because the response is a sample of this study. There is on
instrument of this research. There is on instrument of this research it is test by
taking pre- test and post- test.
The results showed that the pre-test results of the seventh grade students’
scores increased significantly after taught by using teaching media. The mean
value obtained by students through the pre-test is 44.00 and the post- test is 76.40
with the result that the significant value of the paired sample test that is smaller
than the significant level, namely 0.000
