well that make them difficult to enjoy the classroom activities which effect
their achievement. The students who have low level of self-efficacy will be
not able to finish the task or certain goals. On the other hand, the high level
of self-efficacy gives more efforts and intentions in achieving the goals.
They even will try to set another higher level goal.

any significant correlation between self-efficacy and students’ speaking
achievement at the third semester of TBI IAIN Madura?. The second is, how
significance is the correlation between self-efficacy and students’ speaking
achievement at the third semester of TBI IAIN Madura. In this research, the
researcher used quantitative method and correlational design as kind of the
research. in collecting data, the researcher used questionnaire instruments
for variable X and the score from the teacher for variable Y. The samples of
this study are 85, the researcher used slovin technique from the total of
population 108 students. Those are A class (36 students), B class (36
students), and C class (36 students). The researcher used random simple
technique to get the sample for filling out the questionnaire. In classifying
the questionnaires data assessed from the observation, the researcher used
likert scale form a scale of 1 to 5. To test the validity and reliability of
questionnaire the researcher used SPSS 23.
In the data analysis the researcher used person product moment by
using SPSS 23. The result of this research indicated that there is a positive
correlation between self-efficacy and students’ speaking achievement. This
evidence by the value of rxy = 0,898. The interpretation of the correlation
between self-efficacy and students’ speaking achievement is high. The value
of statistical significance is 0,00 in which it is smaller than 0,05. These are
shown that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null
hypothesis (Ho) is rejected.
Based on the result above, the students’ self-efficacy so relates with
the students in achieving the goals because self-efficacy relates with the
students’ think, feel, motivation and ac, so that they are able to do the task
