The Correlation Between Problem Based Online Learning and English Achievement of 2nd grade Multimedia Student at SMK Negeri 3 Pamekasan.

Problem based online learning is one of the learning methods used by
schools to facilitate the teaching and learning process. Usually schools that use this
method lead students to solve problems in learning independently. Usually the
teacher will only provide a basic explanation, the rest of the students are led to
understand the lesson independently and here the teacher is only a facility, where if
there is a problem in the learning process, the teacher will help students by
providing explanations that can and are easily understood.
This research is structured with two problem formulations. First, is there
correlation between broblem based online learning and English achievement for
students in grade 2 of SMK Negeri 3 Pamekasan?, Second, how far the correlation
between broblem based online learning and English achievement for students in
grade 2 of SMK Negeri 3 Pamekasan?. The method used in this study is quantitative
and the technique used by researchers in this study is correlation. In collecting data,
the researcher used 2 instruments, namely a questionnaire and documentation.
Where the instrument will be filled out by 33 respondents, where the researcher
uses 25% of the total class 2 SMK students, which are 130 students. Researchers
used random sampling in obtaining samples for filling out questionnaires on a scale
of 1-5 and documenting student scores from English teachers.
The results of this study indicate that there is a negative correlation
between the two variables, this is proven by the value of rxy= 0,338 where the
interpretation of the correlation between the two variables is 0.054 where the value
is more than 0.05. And with that the null hypothesis (Ho) is accepted and the
alternative hypothesis (Ha) is rejected.
