The Effectiveness of Using Religious Songs to Vocabulary Mastery at Tenth Grade Multimedia Students of SMKN 3 Pamekasan.

Vocabulary is one of the indicators of mastery of English language. Every
student has several factors in vocabulary mastery, namely, internal factors and
external factors. The internal factors is that students do not have learning
motivation because of difficulties in understanding vocabulary because they think
lessons class are not fun and students often feel shy and lazy when memorizing
vocabulary. To overcome internal factors in vocabulary mastery, can use learning
media. Learning media is used to improve learning outcomes better. To improve
students vocabulary mastery and increase students enthusiasm for learning
vocabulary, the researcher use religious songs as a method to add and improve
students vocabulary mastery.
The objectives of this research are To find out whether or not there is
significant difference in the vocabulary mastery between the tenth grade
multimedia students of SMKN 3 PAMEKASAN who were taught by religious
songs and those who do not and To know how the results of average difference in
vocabulary mastery between tenth grade multimedia students, who study
vocabulary using religious songs those who do not using religious songs in
SMKN 3 PAMEKASAN. The kind of approach in this research is quantitative
research while use the experimental with true experimental design. the sample in
this research is students 1st MM-1 and MM-2. The research instrument in this
research are pre-test and post-test and documentation are used to collect data.
The result showed there is any significant difference in the vocabulary
mastery between the tenth grade Multimedia SMKN 3 Pamekasan who were
taught by religious songs and those were not it is based on independent t-test
because the data results of sig (2-tailed) is 0,00. Whereas in the independent t-test,
if value of sig (2-tailed) < than 0,05 so, (Ho) is rejected and (Ha) is accepted. It
can be conclude there is any significant differences in vocabulary mastery of
grade tenth grade Multimedia, who study using religious songs and who study not
using religious songs in SMKN 3 PAMEKASAN. data obtained the t-value is
19.849 if df (degree of freedom) is 60 in sig 5%, then the value of t-table is 2,000.
So, 19.849 > 2,000, so, there is strong significant differences in vocabulary
mastery of grade tenth grade Multimedia who study using religious songs and who
study not using religious songs, it can be conclude students who study using
religious songs are more effective than students who study do not using religious
songs in SMKN 3 PAMEKASAN. can be seen based on the mean results in
experimental class and control class, the mean value of experimental class is
93.0645 and the mean value of control class is 60.3226. it can be concluded that
the using religious songs is effective to vocabulary mastery to tenth grade
Multimedia students at SMKN 3 PAMEKASAN.
