THE USE OF BACK TO THE BOARD GAME IN TEACHING VOCABULARY AT TENTH GRADE OF MA AS-SALAFIYAH SUMBER DUKO PAKONG

Learning English is very important to people especially on Education. In Learning English there are four language skills, as researcher knows that language teaching has identified the four skill, they are reading, speaking, listening and writing but to become master language of English vocabulary is a core component of language proficiency and provides much of the basis for how well learner’s speak, listen, write and read. In teaching vocabulary, the English teacher of MA As-salafiyah used game in teaching vocabulary, the name game is Back to the Board game.
In this research, there are three research focuses, they are how does the teacher use back to the board game in teaching vocabulary, how do the student’s response on the use back to the board game in teaching vocabulary and the advantages of use back to the board game in teaching vocabulary at tenth grade of MA As-salafiyah Sumber Duko pakong.
This research was qualitative research and used descriptive research.The location of this research was at MA As-salafiyah Sumber Duko Pakong. The researcher had two limitations, they were the teacher and the student at the tenth grade of MA As-salafiyah Sumber Duko Pakong. three instruments that were used were interview, observation and documentation. Besidethat the researcher used three techniques to analysed the data, they were data reduction,data display conclusion drawing or verification.
The research findings of the use Back to the Board game in teaching vocabulary at tenth grade of MA As-salafiyah Sumber Duko Pakong was success, because based on the result of interview to the teacher and same student at the tenth grade of MA As-salafiyah Sumber Duko Pakong, the teacher said that by using back to the board game the students has many progress to speak English, the teacher also guided them to more active not bored in the classroom.and the student also said that they can increase their skill vocabulary, more confidence and brave to speake up or sharpen up to more active in the classroom.
Based on the research findings above,this reseach is suggested for the teacher who is expected to be able and to find new strategies or technique to motivated the students, the suggestion the students, they should also increase the vocabulary although without their teacher guidance in the classroom for the readers, they can use this research of game in teaching learning process especially in vocabulary skill, the last suggestion is for other researcher to do the same reseach but in different aspects.
