THE TEACHERS’ STRATEGY TO MANAGE LARGE CLASS IN SPEAKING SKILL AT XI IPS PUTRI MAMBAUL ULUM BATA-BATA PALENGAAN PAMEKASAN
ABSTRACT Suyyinah,2019, The Teachers’ Strategy in Teaching English Speaking Skill at Large Class of XI IPS Putri MA Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Palengaan Pamekasan, Undergraduate, Thesis, Faculty of Tarbiyah, English Teaching Learning Program (TBI), State Islamic Institude (IAIN) of Madura. Advisor: Abd Ghofur, M.Pd Keywords: Teachers’ Strategy, Speaking skill Speaking is communication in daily life. Because speaking is one of style to transfer about information with other. Speaking also one of goals in studying English. If the students able to speak English well, it means the students succes to studying English. So, the teacher must be creative to infrom the material to the students, to make her students interest to join the class. The teacher must used some strategies to help she easy inform the material. Because strategy is one of style alternative to make the teacher easy to achieve her goal. This research has two research problems, that are: the first, how is the process of teaching English speaking skill at large class of IX IPS Putri MA Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Palengaan Pamekasan. The second, what strategy used by the teacher of teaching English speaking skill at large class of IX IPS Putri MA Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Palengaan Pamekasan. In this study, the researcher used qualitative research. The researcher conducted observation, interview, and documentation in collecting the data. Because the researcher want to know how is the process of teaching English speaking skill at large class and what strategy that used by the teacher at large class. To ensure the data which is gotten the researcher checks validity of data by using triangulation. The result shows that the teacher used strategy that used in the class to make the students more confidence to speak, especially in the correct pronounciation, and also it makes the students easy to express their ideas. Because, sometime the students shy to speak in front of the class. With the thesis, the researcher hope that will be usefull for the reader and for the next researcher, and hopefully become a reference for leaders.
