Keywords: Running dictation Technique, Writing skill Writing is one of skill in English that is used as a medium to express the ideas, feeling and opinion, thought, and so on. It can develop by more practice. In writing need some of integrative skill. Running dictation is one of a technique that can be used to practice writing skill. It is a technique in which memorizing, dictating a text, and recording a dictated text accurately in writing. The teacher of Eight Class at SMP Syekh Abdurrahman Pademawu Pamekasan use running dictation technique in writing. There are three problem statements in this study. Firstly, how does the teacher implement running dictation technique in teaching students English writing skill of eight classes at SMP Syekh Abdurrahman Pademawu Pamekasan? The second, how are the students responses in the implementation of running dictation technique in teaching students English writing skill of eight classes at SMP Syekh Abdurrahman Pademawu Pamekasan? The third, what are advantages and disadvantages of running dictation technique in teaching students English writing skill of eight classes at SMP Syekh Abdurrahman Pademawu Pamekasan?. This research uses qualitative research. While kind of research, the researcher uses descriptive research. Because it is intended to describe how the teacher implement running dictation technique in teaching students English writing skill of eight classes at SMP Syekh Abdurrahman Pademawu Pamekasan. The result of this study showed from observation and interview with the teacher and the students about the implementation of running dictation technique of running dictation technique of eight classes at SMP Syekh Abdurrahman that the teacher uses running dictation as technique to teach the students in writing skill. The teacher uses running dictation technique to make the students can be active and the situation in the classroom is fun. The student’s responses, they can more practice their writing skill and they feel enthusiastic, interested, enthusiasm and enjoy in the teaching learning process. The advantages implementation of running dictation technique in teaching students English writing skill of eight classes at SMP Syekh Abdurrahman Pademawu Pameaksan are the students can learn with groups and the passive students can be active in the class. The disadvantages of implementation of running dictation technique are the situation in the classroom is crowded because the teacher can’t manage the situation in the class and difficult to divide when the students too much.
