Novel is one branch of literatue created. Wonder is one novel that have different story, it is telling about kids life, unconfidence and bullying. Wonder’s novel is a novel that the researcher had been analyzed because bullying still being problem that always happen. This novel consist of eight chapter. The researcher focus in the main character conflict that consist of chapter 1, chapter 6 and chapter 8.
The researcher focus of this research are what is the main character’s internal and external conflict, also the positive and negative influence of the main character in Wonder’s novel by R.J Palacio. And find out the conflict, describe the influeces too.
In this research, the researcher used qualitative research especially kind of library research and structural approach as objective approach. Some the data is coming from the novel Wonder by R.J Palacio as the data source. For validity the data, the researcher using triangulation of data source.
The result of this research is the researcher found the external and internal conflict that coming from Auggie as the main character. In external conflict the researcher found that the main character get bullying from his environment and his friends at the school because he did not like ordinary kids, at the school the bullied was come from Julian, Amos, Henry and Eddie. While internal conflict came from himself, where the main character always feel so ugly, unconfidence with face he hase. Wherever, the researcher also add the what positive and negative influences from the conflicts happen.
