THE USE OF HUMOUROUS STORIES STRATEGY IN READING COMPREHENSION OF THE TENTH GRADE AT MA MABDAUL FALAH KADUARA BARAT LARANGAN PAMEKASAN

Reading is one of important thing especially among students. It becomes most effective ways to improve vocabulary mastery of students. However, a problem right now some students feel boring when reading English text. Because, mostly students hard to comprehend a sentence. Therefore, teacher should have different ways to make their students interest, one of the way can use by humourous stories strategy. This strategy become very efective way to use, because this strategy there is an humour in a text. Because of that, students will more interest to read and easier to comprehend a text.
While in this research focuss, there are two major points. The first is How does the teacher use of humourous stories strategy in reading comprehension of the tenth grade at MA Mabdaul Falah Kaduara Barat Larangan Pamekasan, and the second How are the students’ responses in learning reading comprehension by using humourous stories strategy in reading comprehension of the tenth grade at MA Mabdaul Falah Kaduara Barat Larangan Pamekasan.
In this research the researcher use qualitative approach and the kind of research uses descriptive research. By the reason, in this research focus on describing a text rather than statistical form.
The result of this research, The Use of Humourous Stories Strategy in Reading Comprehension of The Tenth Grade at MA Mabdaul Falah Kaduara Barat Larangan Pamekasan, the researcher found that there were three section when teacher teach her students as like pre-teaching, whilst-teaching, and post-teaching and the students’ responses in learning reading comprehension by using humourous stories strategy in reading comprehension mostly students feel more interesting and enjoy in learning process, they feel not boring caused in teaching learning process is fun and there is humour in a text which can read by students.
