THE USE OF ENGLISH DRAMA ON EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY IN BUILDING POSITIVE ATTITUDE TO STUDY ENGLISH AT ELEVENTH GRADE OF SMA KHAIRUL ULUM TAMBELANGAN SAMPANG

Language is a one of tools that use by human being to get communication with others and also by language itself the persons are able to get reach their desire for objective certainly. A human is using a language for express their idea, feel and thinking in daily activity with others or other words to get in touch.
Learning a language is very important because language has biggest influence in every human life including in every sector such as education sector. In education sector especially to the students in every school is obligate to learn foreign language such as English language. English language is one of international language that using almost the whole of country in the world. In Indonesia the implementation of English language had been conducting especially kindergarten until university’s degree.
The researcher has conducted a research in which this research specifically refers to SMA Khairul Ulum Tambelangan especially eleventh grade that aimed to observe and find out how the use of English drama in building student positive attitude to study English.
The research design of this study was classroom action research. The data was taken from the observation, interview to the students, and alsodocumentation to support the data to get a data accurately. The data then analize by qualitative approach.
The result is showed that the using English drama get positive response toward student and it can be seen from cycle 1 and cycle 2 from the result of research, because by English drama makes fun and add their new vocabulary, not only got positive response but also got negative response because by English drama is able to consume their time at home and the other hand it was held on extracurricular activity so that the students has not more time to take a rest at their home from in the morning until evening they have to stay at school. It is proved by interview toward students.
It can be drawn a conclusion that the using of English drama not always giving advantage to the student but also giving disadvantage to the student.
