THE IMPLEMENTATION OF VOCABULARY TEACHING TECHNIQUES AT BAGANSA OF NURULHUDA ISLAMIC BOARDING”

Vocabulary is one of the basic in learning English.Vocabulary such as the weapon in speaking English because the people can’t speak English without vocabulary. To increase student’s vocabulary the teacher must have the Teaching Techniques in learning English. By techniques the students will get easy in learning process and memorize in long time.
There are two research focuses in this study. The first, what the vocabulary teaching techniques are implemented at Bagansa. The second how the Bagansa implements the vocabulary teaching techniques.
In this research, the researcher uses qualitative approach by using descriptive research. Because it describe how the Bagansa implements vocabulary teaching techniques. To get the data the researcher uses observation, interview and documentation.
The result of this research found that there were three steps in the implementation of vocabulary teaching techniques. They are pre teaching, whilst teaching, and post teaching. That steps can help student to improve their skill. In the implementation of vocabulary teaching they are techniques implemented by Bagansa are: listening new vocabulary in sentence, guess the vocabulary, drilling or saying together, making the sentence. Based on the result of research above, the researcher concluded that vocabulary teaching techniques is very important. It can make student memorize in long time. After Bagansa gave the vocabulary, the Bagansa ordered to practice their vocabulary in conversation program, public speaking, muhadtsah, and practice it in daily activity. Because the Bagansa will punish who speak Madura and English. Then there is connection in every program to improve the English skill.
Based on the research above, it is suggested for English teacher preparation before going to teach is really important to make teaching learning process run well, in teaching learning especially vocabulary skill. The teacher should add another techniques in learning process, the teacher more be creative to make students more spirit to study English and can increase the vocabulary.
