A Study on Learning Vocabulary by Using Miming Game for Young Learners at the 4th Grade MI An-Najah I Karduluk Sumenep

Vocabulary is one of the language components that have to be thought to the students in learning a foreign language. This component is the basic study in learning a foreign language. Especially for young learners, vocabulary is the first step that they have to learn in foreign language before they have to learn the four skills namely, reading, speaking, writing, and listening.
There are three problems in this research. The first one is how the teacher teaches vocabulary by using miming game at the fourth grade MI An-Najah I Karduluk Sumenep, the second one is how the students learn vocabulary by using miming game at the fourth grade MI An-Najah I Karduluk Sumenep, and the last is what the advantages of miming game for the students at the fourth grade MI An-Najah I Karduluk Sumenep are.
This research is conducted to describe how the teacher teaches vocabulary by using miming game at the fourth grade MI An-Najah I Karduluk Sumenep, how the students learn vocabulary by using miming game at the fourth grade MI An-Najah I Karduluk Sumenep, and what the advantages of miming game for the students at the fourth grade MI An-Najah I Karduluk Sumenep.
The result of this research showed that in learning vocabulary by using miming game, the teacher used some steps: The first is explaining the rule of game, then asking some students to come forward and miming an animal by turns and asking the other students to guess what the animal that their friends mimed. The students also could learn vocabulary by using miming game by following the teacher’s instruction in playing miming game to come forward and did what the teacher said to them. The advantages of miming game for the students are the students felt easier to remember and got spirit while learning vocabulary by using miming game, eventhough some of them are got difficulties.
Based on the result of research above, the researcher concludes that miming game can help the students in learning vocabulary because the students can easier to remember the vocabulary.
