Speaking is very important to be learn by students because speaking enables them to participate in social situations and interact with other, in fact speaking is so much a part of daily life that tend to take it for greated.
There are three research problems of the study. The first, How does the Teacher use Secret Recipe Book on students Speaking Skill at First Level of English Cafe Course Yogyakarta. The second, what are The Difficulties That Faced by The Teacher in using Secret Recipe Book. The Third, How do The Students responses in using Secret Recipe Book.
This research is intended to describe how is the teacher use secret recipe book on students' speaking skill, the teacher difficulties that faced by the teacher in using secret recipe book, and the students' response in using secret recipe book. The researcher investigates the teachers of English Cafe Course Yogyakarta who teach at regular class on first level as the subject of the research. The data is gained through observation, interview and documentation. The researcher observed the teachers in teaching speaking and interviewed the teachers and the students.Triangulation is used as the cross validation in collecting data.
The result of this research shows that In using Secret Recipe Book on students' speaking skill at first level, the teachers of English Cafe Course at Yogyakarta used his own method based on the SOP of English Cafe Yogyakarta. especially when they want to attract their students' speaking skill. There are some difficulties in using Secret Recipe book that faced by the teacher, such as arrangement the materil of the Secret Recipe book, the limited time. The students response, get progress from the first meeting to the next meeting again. It could be seen from theirs response such as almost student are active, easy to understand the material, It could be seen from theirs bravery to speak up and explore all theirs speaking skill.
