In learning English, there are four skills. They are listening, reading, speaking, and writing. But speaking is a major skill in English subject. So as an English teacher should choose the best way to make speaking class more active and atractive. Question and Answer Drill technique is one of the technique that the English teacher in MTs An Nur Pamekasan has implemented to teaching speaking subject at seventh grade.
There are three research focuses in this study. The teacher implements, the teacher obstacles and how to overcome the teacher obstacles on the implementation of Question and Answer drill technique on speaking English skill of seventh grade students at MTs An Nur Pamekasan.
In this research, the researcher uses qualitative descriptive. To collect the data, the researcher uses observation by entering to the classroom directly, interview with the students and the teacher, and documentation by taking picture in the teaching learning process.
The implementation of question and answer drill technique on speaking skill well. The implementation of question and answer drill is conducted in three step, opening activity, main activity, closing activity.There are some obstacles that found out of the teacher such as: the students still speak with their friend, the students lack of vocabularies, the students are less confident, and the class is less facilities.This is the overcome for the teacher’s obstacles such as the teacher asked the students to make summary,gave new vocabularies,asked the student to come foward to present their summary and the teacher tought the material using the blackboard.
The teacher should give more attention to the students. The students should be more confident in the classroom. The further researcher can take the research as the reference of his research, because this research is well.
