Speaking skill is one of the language skill for students to carry out conversation in speaking English or process the word become the sentences which could understandable. It is very important because the students are interest to speak, sometimes the English teacher implement of CTL method to teach speaking. One of the used by the teacher is “Contextual Teaching and Learning” in speaking skill.
There are two problems on this research. Firstly, how does the teacher implement CTL to teach speaking skill to Eleventh graders of MA Nurul Amin Pagarbatu Kec. Saronggi?Secondly, what kind of instructional media used by the teacher of English Subject based on CTL to teach speaking skill to Eleventh graders of MA Nurul Amin Pagarbatu Kec. Saronggi?This study is to describe the implementation of “Contextual teaching and Learning (CTL)” method in speaking class at eleventh graders of MA Nurul Amin Pagarbatu and the students’ response on the implementation of “Contextual teaching and Learning (CTL)” method in speaking class at eleventh graders of MA Nurul Amin Pagarbatu.
On this research,the the researcher uses qualitative approach, researcher used by descriptivequalitative. In collecting data, the researcher used three techniques. There are observation, interview, and documentation. And to analyze the data, the researcher using three steps namely data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing.
The results of this research is the implementation ofCTL in speakingclass at eleventh graders of MA Nurul Amin Pagarbatuon the teaching learning process, the English teacher used three steps. They are pre- teaching, whilst- teaching, and post- teaching. The positive respon by this method, the students are interested and motivated to study and also brave to speak English, the students are easier to understand the material, solidarity working in a group.
Based on the result of this research, the implementation of “Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) methodfor Student’s Speaking Skill at eleventh graders of MA Nurul Amin Pagarbatu is effective to be implement by The English teacher in teaching learning process in the class, especially to teach speaking.
