The Implementation of Speedy Think Tank Game on Students’ English Vocabulary Mastery at the Tenth Grade Students in SMAN 1 Pademawu Pamekasan

Learning vocabulary is very important because vocabulary is one of aspects in learning a foreign language. In the teaching learning process, the teacher should apply the best way to make the teaching learning process in teaching vocabulary mastery more enjoyable. Here, the researcher finds that the English teacher of SMAN 1 Pademawu Pamekasan implements game to make the teacher explain the material easily. The game that the teacher implemented is speedy think tank game.
There are three research focuses in this study. The first, how the teacher implement Speedy Think Tank game on students’ English vocabulary mastery at the tenth grade students in SMAN 1 Pademawu Pamekasan. The second, what are the advantages of Speedy Think Tank game on students’ English vocabulary mastery at the tenth grade students in SMAN 1 Pademawu Pamekasan. The third, what are the weaknesses of Speedy Think Tank game on students’ English vocabulary mastery at the tenth grade students in SMAN 1 Pademawu Pamekasan.
In this research, the researcher uses qualitative approach. While kind of research, the researcher uses descriptive research. Because It is intended to describe how the teacher implements Think Tank game on students’ English vocabulary mastery at the tenth grade students in SMAN 1 Pademawu Pamekasan.
The result of this research found that there were three steps in the implementation of Speedy Think Tank game on students’ English vocabulary mastery at the tenth grade students in SMAN 1 Pademawu Pamekasan. They are pre-teaching, whilst-teaching, and post-teaching. In this game, there are some advantages and disadvantages. One of the advantages is thegame that the teacher used in the teaching learning process of teaching learning vocabulary helped the teacher to explain the material easily. While one of the disadvantages is the students felt bored the students were not interested with the material that the teacher taught by using Speedy Think Tank game. Based on the result of research above, Think Tank game is effective game that the teacher used in teaching.
