The Implementation of NAL (New American Lecture) Strategy on Students’ Speaking Skills at REC (Radiant English Course) Waru Pamekasan

This research is concern with strategy which usually used by every teacher in teaching learning process. Realizing the importance of English speaking in teaching learning process, the teacher should choose any suitable strategy in teach their students. Considering New American Lecture become good strategy in teaching speaking, the teacher uses it in teaching for the students at REC (Radiant English Course).
This research is consist of four research focuses, they are the implementation of New American Lecture strategy on students’ at Radiant English Course Waru Pamekasan, the students responses’ about the implementation of New American Lecture strategy at Radiant English Course Waru Pamekasan, the obstacles of the implementation of New American Lecture at Radiant English Course Waru Pamekasan and the advantages of the implementation of New American Lecture at Radiant English Course Waru Pamekasan. .
The main objective of this research are to describes the implementation of New American Lecture strategy used by the lecture in teaching speaking at REC (Radiant English Course) Waru Pamekasan, to investigates students response by the implementation of New American Lecture strategy used by teacher in teaching speaking at REC (Radiant English Course) Waru Pamekasan, to know the obstacles faced by the teacher in the implementation of NAL at REC Waru Pamekasan, to identify the advantages of NAL strategy at REC Waru Pamekasan.
This research was conducted by using qualitative approach, while, the kind of this research use descriptive research because the researcher analyze the data obtained by describing the data. The location of this research at REC Waru Pamekasan, than the role of the researcher in this research is the researcher becomes a passive participant. The source of data is from the English teacher and the students at REC Waru Pamekasan. The procedure in collect the data in this research was used observation, interview, and documentation. While, the way in analyzing the data applying Miles and Huberman’s theory.
After accomplishing the result and discussion of research, can concludes that the implemention of New American Lecture strategy in teaching speaking at REC (Radiant English Course) Waru Pamekasan is conducted in two meetings. The first meeting is about describing something and the second meeting is about agree and disagree. Both of the meetings are use New American Lecture strategy, and the result of the teaching learning process when applied those strategy can produce a good value. Even tough there are some obstacles faced by the teacher in applied NAL (New American Lecture) strategy, but the advantages of New American Lecture strategy also faced.
