Writing is one of four language skills. It is very important for students when they learn English language. Because it is basic of learning English language. Talking about teaching learning technique that can used in teaching and learning process. One of teaching learning technique is guiding question. In active learning there are many technique that can be implemented by English teacher in teaching process. One of the technique that was implemented by English teacher is guiding question technique.
Based on the statement above, there are two problem statements in this study. Firstly, How does the teacher implement guiding question technique in teaching writing recount text in The Second Year Students Of SMPI Miftahul islam Waru. Secondly, What is the weaknes of guiding question technique in teaching writing recount text in The Second Year Students Of SMPI Miftahul islam Waru.
The goal of this study is to find out the teacher implementation guiding question technique in teaching writing recount text in the second year students of SMPI Miftahul Islam Waru and to know the weaknes of guiding question technique to the students ability in teaching writing recount text in The Second Year Students Of SMPI Miftahul islam Waru.
In this study used descriptive qualitative because because in this study tries to describe and explain descriptively the issue in the institution. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation, interview, and documentation. The observation of this research was done from 4th October till 8th October, 2014 at the second year students of SMPI Miftahul Islam Waru. Therefore, the researcher interviews to the English teacher, and students. Than to conduct the documentation is from the informant such as: the Profile of SMPI Miftahul Islam, the students list name, lesson plan, etc. After, the researcher collects the data. The researcher analysis of them base on collecting data, classifying data, verifying data, analyzing, than drawing conclusion.
The result of this research showed that Teaching writing recount text through guiding questions technique At The Second Year Students Of SMPI Miftahul islam Waru in which the English teacher implemented in teaching writing especially for the students at Second Year in SMPI Miftahul islam Waru.
Based on the result of research above guiding questions technique is effective to be implemented in teaching writing. Because the English teacher implemented it for the students.It means that teaching writing was successfull although there is difficulty in writing skill.
