Vocabulary is a set of lexemes, including single words; compound words and idiom Vocabulary mastery of consist of two terms. Namely vocabulary and mastery. Vocabulary is not only one aspect to master a language, but human learn language starting from the word. Vocabulary Mastery knowing the form and the meaning of words and having ability to use them communicatively either written or spoken
There are two problems in this study. The first is how the teachers apply the flashcard as Media in the teaching learning process to Stimulate the student’s Vocabulary Mastery at the third grade of SDI Mabdaul Falah Kaduara Timur Pragaan Sumenep. The second is what the Advantage of flashcard is as Media in teaching and learning process to stimulate the student’s Vocabulary Mastery at the third grade of SDI Mabdaul Falah Kaduara Timur Pragaan Sumenep
The researcher used a descriptive qualitative and this research was held at the third grade of SDI Mabdaul Falah Pragaan Sumenep. The subject of the study was the grade III. There were 20 students; 10 girls and 10 boys. And the most of them were difficult to memorize the meaning of vocabularies a long time and when they already memorize some vocabularies and they are easy to forget and do not how use vocabularies.
The researcher carried out three steps. The first step was observation. The second step was the interview. The interview consisted of two types structure interview and unstructured interview. The last steps were the documentation. The researcher also used field notes. It was used to observe the situation of the class during the each activity of this study.
The result shows that by using flashcard in teaching English vocabulary through flashcard can improve the student’s vocabulary mastery. And the students of third class easier to understand and memorize the vocabularies.
Based on the result above, it is suggested for the English teacher to understand the student’s condition before gives the materials, so that the English teacher can solve the student’s difficulties to memorize the vocabularies especially in vocabulary subject. The teacher gives more attention to the students who face the difficulty in teaching learning process.
