The Correlation Between Motivation of Student’s Learning and Student’s Achievement for VIIID Class of MTs Negeri Parteker Pamekasan

Intrinsically, researcher will consider what mean by motivation. Motivation is a necessary which is very important in teaching learning process to the teacher and also the students, and makes somebody want to do something which they want. Motivation is very important for the reader, it’s mean for the students. Motivation can give support of the study for the reader in onder to have enthusiasm to seek the science. In the motivation process, motivation is needed, because if someone do not have motivation in learning, imposible to do teaching activities. There are two kinds of motivation, intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. The purpose of learning activities of students is to get good achievement.
There is one problem of this research, the problem is does correlation between motivation of student’s learning and student’s achievement in English subject for VIIID class or MTs Negeri Parteker Pamekasan.
The topic is significance to find out is there correlation between motivation of student learning and student achievement in English subject for VIIID class or MTs Negeri Parteker pamekasan?
There are two variables in this research, the problem is does whether or not correlation between motivation of student’s learning and student’s achievement as dependent variable. The former was found by employing questionnaire with content analyzing approach and the latter was measured by employing teks. In the research, the population is the students at MTs Negeri Parteker Pamekasan, the researcher take 31 as sample, in eight grade students on MTs Negeri Parteker Pamekasan. Instrument research that used in this research is questionnaire. Questionnaire used to know the correlation of motivation between student’s learning and student’s achievement this research uses quantitative data characteristics, namely numerical form. The statistical formula which is used to analyze the data is product moment.
The result shows that “r” value of this research is 0,631. It is more than the table of coefficient value correlation “r” product moment in lefel significant e 5% N =31 that the value was 0,631. So the null hypothesis was rejected and alternative hypothesis was received. While the alternative hypothesis is an correlation between motivation of student’s learning and student’s achievement in English subject for VIIID class at MTs.
Based on the result above. It is suggested for English teacher it is important for them to give support and spirit anymore for their students. Skill and development step of student, have any method and variant of learning media. Consist of motivation to the students. It is suggested for students to realized that motivation is very important to increase their study and to get good achievement.
