The media is tools that can make students comprehend English easily. By using internet, the students can increase their knowledge especially in learning English. The internet was giving the positive impact to the students who learn by using this media.
In this research, the researcher used quantitative approach with non-experimental research design. And the population of this research is the tenth grade students of MA. Al-Amien Prenduan Putra II. And the researcher takes one class as a sample and the result are class X A consists of 25 students. While the instrument used in this research was questionnaire and documentation. This research was done since May 15, 2012 until June 15, 2012. The technique of data used is statistical analysis exactly product moment analysis.
The result of this research showed that the using internet give influence to the students’ interest in learning English at the tenth grade student of MA Al-Amien Prenduan Putra II. It is proven from the result of statistical analysis that shows that “r’’ value is 0,434. It is higher than r product moment table in significant level 5% and 1% with N 25 is 0,396 and 0,505. So, the researcher compared it with table interpretation r product moment. It is interval between 0, 40 - 0, 70 with sufficient interpretation. Then the hypothesis which the school that there is influence of using internet to the students’ interest in learning English at the tenth grade students of Ma Al-Amien Prenduan Putra II is accepted in level of sufficient interpretation.
Based on the result above, the research concludes that there is influence of using internet to students’ interest in learning English at the tenth grade students of MA Al-Amien Prenduan Putra II. The using of internet is not only able to provide a positive contribution to student activities but also for teacher. The using of Internet for educational purposes is widespread, especially in developed countries, a fact which shows that the media is indeed possible convening of the learning process more effective. The existence of internet can easier for us to get new science what we needs and it a good impact in educational. Internet can provide possibilities for teachers and student to explore the information and knowledge in the subject field of their ability.
