Each field of science provides specific terms. Specific terms dealing with the specific field of science are called jargon. Jargon is complex descriptive and value word, its meaning depends on the context, the opinion and the judgments of the person using it. Computer science sometimes uses special language to make it easier in conveying the messages.
This kind of phenomena is significant to study because the occurrence of language style is not only caused by the speakers that are not homogenous, but also caused by the various social interaction that they do. The real problem that appears in the field is vocabulary of the language that always reflects the environments, and the way of thinking of the speakers.
This research is done to know the morphological process of English Jargon used by internet users and to know the lexical and contextual meaning of English Jargon used by internet users. The research uses descriptive qualitative designe. The researcher uses three ways to get data: interview, observation and documentation.
There are thirty seven English jargons commonly used by internet user of STAIN Pamekasan students. The morphological processes of English jargons used by internet users are compounding, prefixes, suffixes and acronym. The internet users have a good understanding most English jargons. They understand the contextual meaning of English jargon although they cannot apply all of them because they don’t have a good knowledge of lexical meanings of the internet jargons.
