“The Analysis Knowledge of Online Media By The English Teacher Candidate In The 7th Semester Students of Tbi Iain Madura”

To becoming a teacher not only has knowledge but also skills. Where
what skills are needed in the modernization era are challenges and
opportunities for teachers in carrying out the language teaching process,
especially in integrating information technology as a medium and source of
learning, one of which is called online media. Online media is a general term
for a form of media based on telecommunications and multimedia. Also
called online media (in the network), online media in a general sense are all
types or formats of media that can only be accessed through an internet
connection that contains text, photos, video, and sound (audio).
The research focus in this research is, how is the knowledge of
prospective English teachers about online media in the seventh semester
students of TBI IAIN Madura and how prospective English teachers prepare
online media in the seventh semester of TBI IAIN Madura. The purpose of
this study was to determine the knowledge of prospective English teachers on
online media in the seventh semester of TBI IAIN Madura and to find out
prospective English teachers preparing online media in the seventh semester
of TBI IAIN Madura.
In this study, the researcher used a descriptive type of research with a
qualitative approach. Researchers used two instruments in collecting data:
interviews and documentation. the information is the seventh semester
students of the 2020-2021 academic year. To analyze the data, the researcher
uses data reduction, data display and conclusions. Then the researcher used
triangulation of data sources in checking the validity of the data.
The results of the study show that there is A lot of knowledge and also
very good about online media is already known by 7th semester students of
tbi IAINMadura of the academic year 2021-2022, because The English
teacher candidate knowledge about the characteristic of online media, The
teacher candidate also knowledge about the advantages and disadvantages
about online media. In addition to knowing about online media knowledge,
7th semester students who prepares themselves as teachers candidate can use
online media in learning. And the English teacher candidate in prepare online
media is very good, because in preparing online media in learning include:
prepare packages and other media, prepare by learn the media to be used,
prepare by the material and search the media online that use and etc.
