An Analysis of Islamic Social Norms in the Film Entitled “Ali” According to Ali Shariati’s Perspective

This study was conducted backwards with the beginning of often
getting rejected because of the background and caste made the researcher
realize how important it is to improve the personal quality to be
recognized in the social environment. So it is very important to learn
Islamic social norms so that children or students are ready to jump into
social life properly. Islamic social norms are very important for social life,
but very little research on them, even though the world of education needs
to teach social norms to make students live well in society.
In this research, the researcher has 2 research focuses. The first is
to analyze the Islamic Social Norms in the Ali movie according to Ali
Shariati's perspective, and the second is to find out the impact of the
Islamic Social Norms in the Ali movie according to Ali Shariati's
perspective.
This study uses qualitative research with the library research
method. In this study, the researcher used content analysis methods
through a hermeneutic approach in the technique of collecting analytical
data. The technique of data collection consists of several procedures,
namely identifying dialogues and impacts in films that contain Islamic
Social Norms according to Ali Shariati's perspective. Data analysis is used
to answer research problems or to test the hypothesis itself, and
researchers use content analysis according to Krippendorff.
There are 3 kinds of Islamic Social Norms concepts based on Ali
Shariati's perspective namely monotheism, rausyanfikr, and ummah. After
analyzing the data taken from Ali movie, the researcher found 16 kinds of
Islamic Social Norms that appear in the film. There are 3 data for
monotheism, 9 data for rausyanfikr and 4 data for ummah. This can be
analyzed from how the characters in the film talk, do something, and carry
out an activity, but the findings that most the researcher find are through
film dialogue rather than physical appearance. This research can be a new
motivation for those who want to have high social values in social life so
as to create an orderly and peaceful life
