The Analysis of Islamic Character Education Values in Nussa Animated Movie at Nussa Official Youtube Channel

Islamic Character education value is an effort to educate children so that they
can make wise decisions and practice them in everyday life. In the perspective of
Islam, noble character or morals is a result of the process of applying syari’at
which is based on a solid faith condition and relies on the Al-qur’an and Hadisth.
While, they are not only gotten in formal class, but also it can be found
everywhere, for example is from movie. Nussa animated movie tells about the life
of small children which is packed with Islam. It has been broadcasting on Nussa
official youtube channel since 2018, the animated series Nussa will build
children’s character and morality through fun stories. This research has 3 research
objectives, namely: 1) to know the Islamic character education values in Nussa
animated movie at Nussa official youtube channel, 2) to analyze the characters
deliver Islamic character education values, and 3) to analyze the ways to
implement the Islamic character education values in daily life.
This research is library research, kind of this research used is content analysis
with expressive approach. The primary source used is Nussa animated movie to
find out the data needed. While the secondary source, it refers to book, journal,
script, and youtube that deals with Islamic character education value. To collect
the data, the researcher used observation and documentation, familiarizing and
organizing, coding and reducing, as well as interpreting and representing are used
to analyze the data.
The result shows that there are 7 Islamic character education values found on
Nussa animated movie especially in the episode of Fasting Training, Learn to be
Honest and also Please and Thank You. They are religious, honest, tolerance,
discipline, positive curiosity, appreciating achievement, and love peace. In the
Fasting Training episode found two Islamic character education values namely
tolerance and positive curiosity, in the Please and Thank you episode found four
Islamic character education values namely love peace, religious, honest and
positive curiosity. Meanwhile, in the Learn to be Honest episode found five
Islamic character education values namely religious, honest, discipline, positive
curiosity and appreciating achievement. The characters of this animated movie
consist of Nussa, Rarra, Umma. Syifa, Abdul, Nussa’s teacher. The characters
delivered the Islamic character education values by conversation and action with
other characters. To implement the Islamic character education values in daily
life. It is related with the researcher was conducted by Thomas Lickona. The
researcher found the ways to implement the Islamic character education values in
daily life consist of avoid lie, avoid cheating, tell the truth, be polite, respect to the
parent and the teacher, do the schoolwork, and be kind to others.
