INDONESIAN-ENGLISH CODE MIXING WRITTEN BY INDONESIAN FOOD VLOGGER MGDALENAF IN HER INSTAGRAM CAPTIONS

In learning English, there are many branches of linguistics, as the researcher
knows that branch of linguistics divided into several kinds. They are
sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics and so forth. One of branch linguistics is
sociolinguistics. In this research used sociolinguistics approach. The researcher,
research code mixing, interference and lexical meaning.
In this research,there are three research focuses. They are what are the types
of code mixing used by MGDALENAF as a Food Vlogger in her captions
instagram, what are the interferences exist in the instagram caption that used by
MGDALENAF as a Food Vlogger in her instagram and what are the lexical exist
in instagram captions that used by MGDALENAF as a Food Vlogger in her
instagram.
This research was qualitative research and used descriptive research. The
research was at MGDALENAF Instagram. The researcher two limitations, the
interference when she paid promote or endorsement in her Instagram and the
lexical meaning in her instagram captions. Two instruments that were used were
observation and documentation. Beside that, the researcher used three techniques
to analyzed the data , they were data source, data collection procedure and data
analysis.
The research findings of theIndonesian-English Code Mixing Written by An
Indonesian Food Vlogger MGDALENAF in Her Instagram Captionswas success.
Because based on the result, the researcher concludes what the types of code
mixing, about interference and lexical meaning that appears in the Instagram Food
logger. the researcher analyzed about ten captions which used code mixing. The
researcher chose the captions randomly which are interested to be analyzed. From
the analysis ten data, there are all of data use outer code mixing. Beside that there
is no interference which used in the captions.
Based on the research findings above, this research is suggested for the
students or readers who want to understand are code mixing and interference
deeply, they should enrich about those subjects, especially through studying
further about the two concepts of them. The suggestion the students, they should
also increase the knowledge about code mixing and inteferece by reading more
books and journals. For the other researcher, the researcher hopes this thesis can
be useful for all the students who want to do the similar research and it can be one
of reverence in studying about code mixing and interference. The last suggestion
is for another researcher to do the same research, but in a different aspect.
