DISCOURSE ANALYSIS OF JUSUF KALLA SPEECH IN ASIAN GAME 2018 BASED ON GEOGE YULE PERSPEKTIF

Communication is the something that general happent in society or anywhere and anytime between a one person to other person around them. With the communication we use the language that structured well and make the receiver understand with our means. The use of language in communication is two ways they are called orally and writing which is called discourse. Most speakers and writers do not observe the correct and structured use of language to communicate. Texts or speeches that have textual standards such as cohesion and coherence will be communicative. Therefore, the researcher would like to analyze of Jusuf Kalla speech in ceremony closing of Asian Game 2018 he is using the right language linguistic structure or not whether the speaker pay attention the cohesiveness sentences between to one other sentences, both in term of form and meaning. This study is descriptive qualitative research with discourse analysis, because it is intended to interpreting and exploring the phenomenon on speech. The data sources are taken form script Jusuf Kalla speech that published Jakarta, Sunday, September 02, 2018 in Gelora Bung Karno when the closing of Asian Game 2018. The data are analyzed using George Yule theory of cohesion and coherence.The instrument of this qualitative research as the key intruments. The procedure in collect the data in this research was used recording, transcribing and classifying data. The researcher reading these data man times to understand the context. The next is choosing utterance containing gramatical cohesive and coherence. The next is coding the utterance containing cohesive and coherence by using bold and quotes. The last is describing the finding and making a conclusion. The result of this research show that on script Jusuf Kalla speeh found grammatical cohesion and coherence. It can be concluded they are reference (42) Substitution (2) Ellipsis (2) Conjunction (23) and lexical cohesion that devided reiteration and collocation. Reiteration devided five types they are: Repetation (1) Synonym (4) Antonym (4) Hyponym (0) Ekuivalensi (0) and Collocation (3) and the last finding is grammatical coherence three type relations, namely resemblance, Cause-Effect and Contiguity. devided into three type .There are six type of resemblance relations: parallel, contrast, Exemplification, Generalization, Exception and Elaboration.

Base on the findings, the conclusion in this study can be concluded that the script Jusuf Kalla speech use the grammatical cohesion and coherence.
