THE DIFFICULTIES OF FEC MEMBERS TO ARRANGE PARAGRAPH ESSAY AT IAIN MADURA

Abstract
Writing is productive language skill. It is skill of a writer to communication information to a reader or group of readers. A writing course which basically aims at improving the students writing skill from writing sentence, paragraphs and essay. Writing essay is more difficult that writing a paragraph. The reason is, in essay writing, the students have to be able to elaborate their ideas as clearly as possible. It means that essay consist of introductory paragraph, a main body which logical development of the theme and its detail and a final paragraph in which the student summaries his main argument and passes the final judgment on it. There are two research focuses of this research. The first, the difficulties of the members in constructing a paragraph essay at FEC Program at IAIN Madura and the second is members solve the difficulties in constructing a paragraph essay at FEC Program at IAIN Madura. In this research, the researcher uses qualitative as an approach of this research and descriptive as kind of the research. The researcher uses three instruments in collecting the data; observation, interview and documentation. For analyzing the data, the researcher uses data reduction, data display, and verification. Then the researcher uses triangulation of data source in checking the validity of data.
The result of this research found by the researcher is that the difficulties in arranging paragraph Essay faced by members of Fun English Club at IAIN Madura. Such as getting started, coherence, grammar. And also the members solve the difficulties are searching internet, asking a lecture or tutor, more practice. Based on the result, the difficulties arranging paragraph essay from a member as like a grammar, and getting started, the members can overcome with asking a lecture and teacher who know about writing and the teacher or tutor guide the members to help the difficulties in arranging paragraph essay.
Suggestions for students to write or compile essay paragraph students do not be shy to ask any source to be able to write essay well, and also students must practice writing a lot because writing really requires practice and it is not easy.
