Vocabulary is one of the important elements that must be learned in learning a foreign language. In learning English, mastering vocabulary is one of the main objectives for improving students' English skills. However, the problem is that some students feel afraid and shy when they want to speak English, caused to many students have limit vocabulary. Therefore, teachers must have different ways to make their students interested, one of the ways that can be used is gamenamely "word chain game". With this game it becomes a very effective way to use, because this game can stimulate and motivate students to learn vocabulary actively.
While in this research, there are two main focuses. The first is how does the teacher implement of word chain game in English vocabulary mastery at intermediate class inNurudDhalam English Course GandingSumenep, and the second is how do the students response in learning English vocabulary by using word chain game at the intermediate classinNurudDhalam English Course GandingSumenep.
In this research, researchers used a qualitative approach and kind of research is descriptive research. Therefore, in this researchfocus on describing text rather than statistical forms.
The results of this research, the implementation of word chain games in English Vocabulary mastery at intermediate class in NurudDhalam English Course GandingSumenep, that there are three parts when the teacher teaches her students such as pre-teaching, while teaching, and post students responsesin learning vocabulary by using word chain game,with this game most students feel more interested and enjoy in the learning process, they feel it is not boring and they find it easier to repeat their memorization about vocab that they have known before, and also they are always relaxed in learning vocabularyEnglish with the Implementation of the word chain game. In this research, the researcher hopes that this game will become a good a way in increasing the vocabulary mastery with fun and enjoyable.
