In speech, people as listeners and audience have to master four of components in English. They are grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary. Vocabulary have important role in a sentence, because someone (listener) will know and understand what message of sentence in the speech if she or he know aboutthe meaning for every word in the sentence.

An listener, nowdays face many problems to understand a content of speech because of many words that have related meaning with other word. One of example is in Zakir Naik speech that is ongoingin University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. So, in this case the researcher does research under the title “The Analysis of Sense Relation in Zakir Naik Speech on April 3rd2017 Entitles “Religion as Mercy Agent and Peace” by taking the video from youtube.

There are two research focuses in this research. The first is What kind of sense relation in Zakir Naik speech ongoing in Sportorium Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) on Sunday, April 3rd 2017. The second is Whatthe meaning for every word of sense relations in Zakir Naik speech delivered in Sportorium Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) on Sunday, April 3rd 2017.

There are four research objectives in this research. The first is to know kinds of sense relations that are there in Zakir Naik speech ongoing in Sportorium Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) on Sunday, April 3rd 2017. The second is to know What the meaning for every word of sense relations in Zakir Naik speech delivered in Sportorium Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) on Sunday, April 3rd 2017.

Sense relation is one of sub chapter in semantic. It talks about the explanation of a word meaning base on its relation with other word in a language. Moreover, it can give several effects in a text or a sentence of speech. So, the speaker should know the usage rule of sense relation in the text or speech. Talking about sense relation, there are seven categories. They are synonymy, antonymy, polysemy, homonymy, hyponymy, meronym, metonymy.

This research have a purpose to find the existence of sense relation in Zakir Naik speech which is ongoing on Sunday, 03 April 2017 in University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The existence of sense relation in this research is just focus on word and phrase of sense relation.
This research is concluded by using descriptive qualitative specially English literary description. In doing the research, the researcher suits with many the theory sources in review of related literature. The analysis of the speech consists of analyzing each words and sentences that have relation meaning with the analyzed word to give more information of the real meaning of the word. Then, the researcher classifies them base on the category of sense relation it self.

The result of research shows us thatthe word meaning relations found in Zakir Naik speech are synonymy (29 words), antonymy (zero word), polysemy (10 words), homonymy (22 words), hyponymy (8 words), meronym (3 words) and metonymy (one word). They are explained with the other related word.
