AN ANALYSIS OF ISLAMIC CIVILIZATION VALUES IN YAHUDAH HA-LEVI’S FIVE POEMS

A “poem” is a specific work of poetry. It usually uses words to
create imagination or give expression that has beauty
expression.When analyze of poems especially the religious poem of
Yahudah Ha-Levi was described about someone feeling or
imagination that has related to belief for god, and all of about God that
has Islamic civilization values. Islamic civilization is committed to
two basic principles: oneness of God and oneness of humanity. Islam
does not allow any racial, linguistic. It stands for universal humanism.
Islam civilization brings some values which are included four values
are ethic (moral), social, modernity, and democracy (it’s about the
reconcilement). This research focus on The Value of Ethic (Morals)
and the value of democracy (it’s about the reconcilement). It’s was
appear in Yahudah Ha-Levi’s five poems. The researcher interested to
analysis of five poems in Yehudah Ha-Levi’s religious poems because
he is one of the best known Spanish Jewish poets whom live on area
of Muslim. So that, the opus of literary work influence by Islamic
civilization. He became a prolific writer of both Arabic and Hebrew
poetry. Yahudah poems’ give any motivate for the human life.
There are two research problems in this study. The first is what
are the Islamic civilization values appear in Yehudah Ha-Levi’s five
poems. The second is how the application of Islamic civilization
values appears in Yehudah Ha-Levi’s five poems.
This study uses qualitative approach, descriptive design, and
library research as data collection procedure. The data sources of this
study are Yahudah Ha-Levi’s poems which consist of five poems, and
Islamic civilization values. Then, this study uses triangulation of
source in order to check the validity of data.
The finding of this study shows that all of five poems have a
value especially the Islamic civilization values such as ethic (moral),
social, modernity, and democracy (it’s about the reconcilement). But,
this research focuses on the value of ethic (moral) and the value of
democracy (it’s about the reconcilement). It’s was appear in Yahudah
Ha-Levi’s five poems. This finding hopefully will suggest to the
reader to not always read a poems as study because poems has values
that useful for life, and in this case has the Islamic civilization values,
which will be so important to the Muslim or Muslim students and give
some teaching to live in this life and to give any motivate on the
Islamic civilization values itself
